House Rules and Policies 

We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly experience. The following Hotel Policies (which will be referred to as House Rules moving forward) have been established based on industry standards, management and operational procedures, and our personal experience of owning and operating over the last 30 years. These House Rules are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you(including your party). As our guest, by registering for a room and paying for our services at our property, you are agreeing to abide by all of our House Rules. If you and your party refuse to abide by our House Rules, you and your party will be removed without receiving a refund. These House Rules are presented here to help promote our guest's safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understandings between the A1 Choice Inn motel and the guest.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Federal or State laws.

GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card or debit card. Registering guests must be 18 years or older. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card. We do not charge your credit/debit card but we do authorize payment prior to check-in to verify you have provided us with a non-fraudulent card. Your credit/debit card guarantees your reservation and payment will be processed after checkout.

CONTACT-LESS CHECK-IN & PROCEDURE

Check-in Time: After 3:00PM

Guests will receive an email and a text message which will provide them with  arrival/check-in instructions. This will contain your room number and access code and you will be able to go directly to your room and start to enjoy your stay. 

Early check-in is offered based on availability and there is an early check-in fee.

Check-out Time: Before 11:00AM

Guests will receive an email and a text message which will provide them with check-out instructions. 

If you require a later check-out, please contact the Front Desk prior to the day of your departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A charge may apply for late check-out.

PAYMENT

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid major credit card or debit card. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover Card. Cash (USD) payment is welcomed with a signed and pre-authorized credit card on file. All guests are required to present a valid major credit/debit card and government issued photo identification even if guests are planning on paying in cash upon check-out. Payments are processed on the day of your check-out. 

Checks and foreign currency are not accepted.

PRICING

All rates are quoted by type of room and number of person(s). In addition, there is a tourism tax of 12% and a refundable security deposit of $100 per accommodation. This property considers a guest under the age of 12 a child.

REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT: $100

If your room is returned with no damages or missing items, you will be refunded the full cost of the security deposit. If you are liable for any damages caused (whether by the deliberate, negligent, or reckless act) to the room(s) or property by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at the property during your stay, then you will be charged the full cost of the security deposit. If the damages are extensive, then you may incur additional charges. This includes and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking, excessive cleaning, pets, guest compensation, additional guests, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

ROOM FEE NOTICE 

Items removed from the room or damaged during your stay will be charged to your account at the rates listed below. If the damages are extensive, then you may incur additional charges.

  • Coffee Machine: $30

  • Coffee Tray: $15

  • Telephone: $50

  • Pillow: $10

  • Sheet/Blanket: $10

  • Comforter/Duvet: $50

  • TV/Hub: $150

  • TV Remote: $20

  • Furniture (bed frames, tables, chairs, etc.): Damage will be assessed and charged accordingly

  • Smoking Fee: $250

100% SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY

A1 Choice Inn is a 100% Smoke-Free property because safety is our priority and to assure that our facility is not exposed to items or actions that create an odor which is unhealthy and objectionable to our guests and staff. Furthermore, it is difficult to remove the odor or stain from the air, carpet, walls, and furniture. We do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense, cigars and the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in our facility.

If you must light up/smoke/vape, we ask you kindly to go outside and 25 feet away from the building and other guests. If you are using fire, please be aware you are in the woods and to clean up after yourselves. Thank you!

SORRY, NO PETS!

This includes ESA (emotional support animals). 

Only certified service dogs are permitted on the property. 

A violation will result in a $250 fee per pet.

PARKING

Parking for registered guest(s) is free. All vehicles are parked at the risk of the owner. A1 Choice Inn shall not assume liability or responsibility for any vehicle, occupants, or contents while operated or parked on the property. If a vehicle is left in the parking lot after the guest has departed without the written consent of the property owner, the property owner reserves the right to have the vehicle towed at the owner's expense. No vehicle repairs on premises.

QUIET HOURS

Quiet Hours: 10PM to 8AM

Please be respectful to fellow guests and turn down your voices, music and televisions. Please do not congregate outside of the rooms as well.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Obviously, we want you to come stay with us and experience everything there is to do in the beautiful town of Mt. Shasta and its surrounding areas, however, we also understand that sometimes plans change and things happen.

​

If you cancel outside of 72 hours of the listing's local check-in time, you'll be able to walk away free of charge. If you cancel within 72 hours of the listing's local check-in time, your card will be charged for the first night of the stay plus taxes.

​

If your reservation was designated as non-refundable when you booked it, your reservation will remain non-refundable, regardless of cancellation time. 

Reservations will be held until 11:00 AM the morning following your scheduled arrival date. If you no-show for your reservation, you will be charged for the first night of the stay plus taxes and any remaining days to your reservation (if applicable) will be canceled.

No refunds will be issued for late check-in or early check-out.

​

Exceptions may apply, so if something goes super sideways, send us an email or give us a call, and we will see what we can do.

ADA/HANDICAPPED ROOM

One ADA compliant guest room is available and should be reserved in advance; please contact the property directly.

LOST AND FOUND POLICY

A1 Choice Inn assumes no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value to you, please call us immediately and we will try to assist you in locating your lost item.

We would be happy to return your lost item(s) to you by the United States Postal Service. Sorry, no UPS or FEDEX deliveries. Your credit card will be charged packaging and postage, plus a $10.00 handling fee. A1 Choice Inn is not responsible for any item lost or misdirected during shipment by the United States Postal Service. Please contact the USPS.
